FAQ
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is opened and rendered entirely inside your browser tab using PDF.js. Nothing about the file or its content is sent to any server.
Will the PNG have a transparent background?
No — a normal PDF page has an opaque background (usually white), so the rendered PNG is opaque too. PNG supports transparency, but this tool doesn't fabricate transparency a PDF page doesn't actually have.
Why choose PNG instead of JPG?
PNG uses lossless compression, which is sharper for text-heavy pages and diagrams, at the cost of a larger file size than JPG for photographic content.
Can I convert only some pages?
Yes — choose "selected pages" to pick individual pages, or "page range" to enter something like 1-5,8,10-12.
What resolution should I choose?
150 DPI is a good default for on-screen use; choose 300 DPI for print-quality output. Higher DPI takes longer and uses more browser memory, especially on a large PDF.
