FAQ

Does this count a line with only spaces as empty?

By default, yes — a line containing only spaces or tabs is treated the same as a truly empty line. You can turn this off if you only want to remove completely empty lines.

Can I keep one blank line between paragraphs instead of removing all of them?

Yes — switch to 'collapse consecutive empty lines', which turns any run of two or more blank lines into exactly one.

How large a file can I clean up?

The tool is designed to comfortably handle text up to roughly a million characters.
