What a case converter does
A case converter rewrites your text in a chosen letter-casing style without you retyping it: all capitals, all lowercase, Title Case for headings, Sentence case for prose, and a few playful ones like aLtErNaTiNg and iNVERSE. This tool also has clean-up actions — collapse repeated spaces, remove blank lines, trim each line — that are handy when you paste text from a PDF, an email, or a spreadsheet.
Everything runs in your browser as you type. Nothing is uploaded, and it keeps working offline once loaded.
How the word count works
Words are counted as runs of letters and digits (with an internal apostrophe or hyphen kept inside a word, so “don’t” and “well-made” each count once), using a Unicode-aware pattern — so Urdu, Arabic, and other scripts are counted, not ignored. It is not a naive space count, so multiple spaces, tabs, and line breaks between words do not inflate the total.
Why character counts differ
Characters counts every visible unit, including spaces and punctuation, and treats an emoji — even a multi-part one like a family emoji — as a single character. Characters (no spaces) is the same count with all whitespace removed. Social and SEO limits are usually quoted as the with-spaces number.
Reading and speaking time
Reading time is the word count divided by an average silent-reading speed (200 words per minute by default); speaking time uses a slower rate (130 wpm) closer to a presentation pace. Both are rough estimates — actual time varies a lot with the reader, the subject, and formatting.
FAQ
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. It stays in your browser. There is no server, no account, and the analytics only records that an action happened, never your text.
Will it break Urdu, Arabic, or emoji?
No. Case changes use locale-aware casing, which is a no-op for scripts without upper/lower case, and emoji pass through untouched.
Can it handle very large text?
Yes. Typing stays instant; for very large documents the statistics update a moment after you stop typing rather than on every keystroke.
