What's the difference between line, word, and character comparison?
Line comparison shows which whole lines were added, removed, or unchanged. Word and character comparison zoom in further, useful for spotting small edits inside a line.
Will it freeze my browser on a large document?
Word and character comparison automatically switch to the cheaper line-level comparison on very large inputs, and tell you when they've done so, rather than risk freezing the tab.
Is my text uploaded anywhere to compare it?
No — the comparison runs entirely in your browser using a standard diff algorithm; neither text is ever sent anywhere.
